School Production

Well, we have come to the end of term 3 and what an amazing term this has been.
Tonight is Production night and after many weeks of rehearsing and practising the songs for the show, we are all very nervous but very excited to be on stage.
Rm 1 children will be performing two songs from Moana. The first song is called "We Know the Way" where the boys and Maui perform a magnificent warrior dance.
The girls then take to the stage and sing and dance beautifully to "How Far I"ll Go". Near the end of the dance the boys join them on stage as a finale.
Room 3 and 4  re-enact the story “Giraffes Can’t Dance” and the costumes and the dancing are incredible.  We all know now that the  children in these two rooms are really awesome dancers.
It is great that we will all get the opportunity to perform on a real live stage tonight and who knows, one day some of us may become famous actors/dancers or singers on the world stage.

We hope you enjoy the show tonight and thought you would like to see some photographs of us in action.

100's PARTY!!!!!

Room 3 and 4 have counted down 100 days. Each day we put a stick in our 100's jar and wrote equations about the number of the day. We also learnt if the number was odd or even and the number before and after it. Every few days we counted the sticks in the jar. Each day we had to  work out how many more days until we could have our much anticipated 100's party. It was so cool to see all the math inspired creativity with the food for the party

ASB Centre

Today was the last day of Room 1's sessions at the ASB Centre and we have had so much fun during the last 8 weeks.   Having completed gymnastics for 4 weeks, we then moved onto ball skills. Each week we played different games including Soccer, Basketball, Handball  and today we learned how to play Dodgeball.  Here we are playing Plants and Zombies. The idea of the game was for the Plants to hit the Zombies with the soft balls and prevent them from getting to the other side of the court.  We can't wait to return to the ASB Centre next year.
The Zombies are racing across

Lots of yummy food to eat.

When we arrived we could have our face painted and there were glow sticks we could buy. There was also a cafe with lots of yummy food to eat.

The DJ played our favourite songs and we had lots of fun dancing.  We had practised the Macarena all term, so when that song came on we were so happy that we knew how to do it.

Do you recognise Sana?
